Reflection - 2/1/2023

 Today in class we started off class by watching a short film called “less than human”. After watching the film, we started the class assignment. The assignment today was to read the second Emily Dickinson poem “i felt a funeral in my brain” and do what we usually do but rather alone than as a class. We had a two sheets of paper one with the directions of the assignment and the other the actual poem. We just analyzed the poem and what it’s about by ourselves for 35 minutes. When we finished that we talked about our analysis as a class until the end of the class period. Overall, todays class was fairly easy giving as the poem was easy to interpret.

 Today we presented and turned in our projects from last week. Ms.Cook was over the class today, since this was her project so she graded us based off what she believed we did right or wrong. Since there wasn’t many groups, we completed the presentations fairly fast and after that was done it was free period.

Reflection - 3/10/2023

 Today was à independent learning day, so we didn’t have class. Since we didn’t have class, we just were assigned to complete old or missing work. Since it was an independent learning day, I’m just completing old missing assignments from math class. I’m also just going to be studying for my sat since i take it tomorrow morning. Overall, i’m not doing anything else.

The Last 3 Minutes

I believe the message of the short film was to cherish every moment in your life because you never know when it might be your last day. The short film captured all his happy and sad moments all while he was slowly dying. I believe the purpose of life is to live it to the fullest, because when you look back as you get older you don’t want to regret anything or wish you did more of anything. The film captured that the guy may have regretted decisions he made in his younger years which brought him to great place he was. Overall i feel like if you live life to the fullest it’ll make dying not feel as big of a deal because you feel as though you actually lived.
